2008 was a spicy year for me. I completed my college sometime in June. I enrolled sometime at August. I had so many topsy turns this way and that way.
I was to leave for my LLM which later got cancelled as I had to take over my dad's firm. I founded two new institutions this year with regard to medical law. I am meeting up a lot of people. And yes, I have started learning law.
Now I am sitting on the edge of 2008 thinking where I started and what I did this year.
It was in 2008 that I got to know about the other side of the Judiciary. I got selected to be the only "law clerk" to serve the Judge of the Madras High Court in my batch. It was a wonderful experience. His Lordship, Mr. Justice D. Murugesan was a wonderful personality and the days I worked with him will always remain unforgettable. I had to leave the job for enrolling at the Bar.
Professionally, Perception to law got very different once I started practicing. The first case I argued got published at Madras Law Journal. I started learning so much about life and behaviour of man. Law is something which controls people's action. It is that thing which sets the criteria for what is wrong and what is right. I got more practical. No action surprises me. I am happy dad made me to choose this profession.
I did create two new institutions, Indian Surrogacy Law Centre and Health Care Legal Solutions. Both of these institutions are in the doctor's arena and thus I will be meeting a lot of doctor's soon.
With regard to my personal life, I guess I missed a lot this time.
I guess it was this year was good. I had learnt so much, felt so many things which I have never felt, lost many things which I thought I never would. So many fun filled memories, my college life, my days as a law clerk and much much more.
I am expecting 2009 to be busier than 2008. Amen...
