The reason behind ordering the report according to me is two, One- to appease the lawyers who approached the Supreme Court praying justice. Secondly, because the Supreme Court did not actually know what had happened at the Madras High Court premises and so wanted some clear facts. I feel the reason is dead.
Moreover, I am surprised by the way the Apex Court had washed off its hands. I didn't expect this from the Highest Court of the land. It is a case where a High Court in India, a chartered High Court was heavily damaged by riots between the police and advocates. Is there something more instigating for a Court than this?
How is ever possible that the Supreme Court can simply transfer the case to another Court? Then what is the point in the one man Commission? I can see that lawyers have turned into a neglected community, even by the Judiciary.
The copy of the report is available here.

Being good always is boring, and when it becomes the norm for a person, none appreciates that. But being a baddy always and once in a while being good, makes you more popular than the good one itself.
Same is the case with Vijay Mally, the Beer Baron had bought the glory of the Mahathma back to India by bidding and winning in the auction that took place in the New York. I am surprised when I hear the price, it is just Rs. 9 Crores. In Vijay Mallya's terms, the cost is too low for the purchase of good. Perfect business.

Arm of the Judiciary has been cut, it bleeds, but I dont see it shout out of pain.

I am mentaly affected by the happenings at the Madras High Court. One of the three Chartered High Courts in India has been attacked brutally. Judiciary had an unprecedented black day on the 19th of February 2009. I feel my honor of being a lawyer being torn into bits and pieces. There might have been wrongs on the part of the lawyers too, but the action of the executive through the police is atrocious and is worser than the British days.
Have you ever imagined that you will be hit for the simple reason that you are a lawyer? I am not sure if the government is out of its mind to have done something like this. I am wondering if any sane person is going to justify the act of the police. If the government cannot accept its mistake, I am sure the lawyers will make them accept it. What is the difference does this act make from that mob? Are police trained to act as a mob at times of need?
The police claim they have done this to control the unrest of the lawyers. I am deeply hurt by the way the police have been trained, their inefficiency. The executive has shut itself. The action by police if done by a mob in unrest is acceptable. The trained police, action force of the state, who should protect the state, have run into battles with the lawyer? I am finding it tough to believe it this has happened.
The deepest curiosity is the role of the police. I cannot for a moment imagine that the police have turned into a mob, frantically hitting any person with a black coat on him. The police was not even in their mind to see whether they were hitting a Judge or a lawyer. Lawyers pooled around a Justice of the Madras High Court who was severely attacked by the unlawful assembly of the police. The Justice too sustained injuries right on his head and he was taken to same hospital with the lawyer community.
Most of the lawyers who got hit by the police were the ones who could not run from the fast approaching police. Lawyers were chased outside the court premises and were hit on the road. The busy Thambu Chetty street (where most of the lawyers' office is located was also hit.) This arrogant action by the police only exposes the planned action and free hand given to the police to attack the judiciary.
I am surprised the Courts are remaining silent. What is the Human Rights commission doing watching all the videos? Is Indian judiciary so inactive that it cannot even open its eyes after its arm has been cut off? The inactivity and irresponsive behavior brings the lawyers sleepless nights about the future ahead.
